The Final Support

Man, this was a tad finicky to actually put together. Had to do at one alteration in order for the polygons to properly line up.

Here's the second prototype which I wanted to do a flower method on both bottom and top parts of the pillar.

Needless to say, its unfinished, mainly because of the top and bottom caps not lining up properly. So I had to discard that idea and rearranged pretty much everything about the second prototype.

To the left is the layout I used for this second prototype, and as you can see, there was too many parts to even stay sane while doing this project.

So I changed it...

Here we have the final product. I didn't have any pictures of the procedure, but it essentially was dumb down from the previous prototype, and only consisted of 3 cut parts to make it more flushed looking than when I used multiple

The body is a lot more simplistic but still has that illusion of a curve.

I also added some pattern on it, but it was rushed so none of them are symmetrical.
I originally also planned this last product to have 2 pillars, but I've already spent 7 hours on this alone, so.. I decided not to.

it is also covered in glue, but whatever..

Here's the parts that was used for this object!

Anyways, I might update this post depending if I get some pictures of the unfolded parts, but until then, here's a small recap of the prototypes and the final product!

Anyways, until next time!
